Meet the Panelists

Sydney is a recent graduate from the Mars Area School District,  Sydney was involved with the Arthritis Foundation as a spokesperson when she was only 10 years old. Sydney was diagnosed with JRA (Junior Rheumatoid Arthritis) at the age of 2, but is now in remission! Sydney was involved in dance, including competitive tap dancing. She has an amazing love for music, especially Classic Rock, and has begun a vinyl collection.  Sydney has played the title role in The Diary of Anne Frank.  She likes to read constantly, she loves classic and contemporary books.  Sydney loves writing poetry and short stories and was honored recently with second place in the Pittsburgh HS Essay Contest.

Nico

Sydney

Nico is 16 years old, and currently attends Sewickley Academy. He takes pride in his academic work, while still striving for success in other fields. Nico works closely with the SteelTown Entertainment Project, and is a member of their teen film crew, and writes their newsletter. He is inspired to take pictures, and would like to change the world through photography.  Among his favorite activities are: attending concerts and music.

Lexi is a recent graduate at West Middlesex High School. Lexi plays competitive golf on the West Middlesex Girls Golf Team and qualified for the District Playoffs. She is a member of the National Honors Society, Students for Charity, Choir, Danceline, Golf Team, and the art club. Lexi is one of the few teens to be recognized with two national pageant titles. She is currently Miss High School America, and in 2011, was crowned National American Miss. She is a student Ambassador for the People to People Ambassador Program, traveling overseas with her work. Her true love's are combat boots, vintage arts, fashion, community service, and her favorite subject is Math!

Justin is going to be in 9th grade at Mars Area High School. Justin is well rounded in many avenues. From an enthusiast of Lord of the Rings and Star Wars, to hitting a bull's eye in archery, he enjoys experiencing a lot of fun and adventurous aspects of life. Sports that he participates in are football, baseball, archery, and bowling. Justin holds a position in his school's student government as class representative and received the Presidential Academic Award in the school year 2015/16 for his years of advanced studies and accomplishments. He is an avid reader and video game player.
